Ep 19 Words Of Wisdom: Unlocking Freedom with the Four Agreements Part 2
In this week's episode we continue our dynamic conversation on the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. We discuss the last two agreements which are: Don't Make Assumption and Do Your Best. We discuss the ways in which we make assumptions such as assuming that when people use similar words, that they mean the same thing. We also discuss how we make assumptions and adding meaning to certain events in our lives about what will be good for us or not. As we discuss the agreement of "Do Your Best" we embark on the distinction between doing and being and make distinctions about what it means to 'do' from presence versus attachment to an outcome. We also discuss what it feels like to take action from merely wanting other's approval or control in our lives versus, allowing our doing to come through the essence of who we are. Lastly, we discuss the inevitability of death in our lives and how this can inform our approach and what agreements we choose to embrace, or not.
